Online pharmacies exist to offer consumers better deals on prescription drugs and fast delivery service. Not all online pharmacies are legit however, and consumers need to be careful. On November 3, 2010, Health Canada issued a warning about three online pharmaceutical companies: North Drug Mart.com, North Drug Store.com and Pharmacy RX World.com.

Health Canada Warning for Illegal Online Pharmacy

It has been discovered that three online pharmacies have been selling products that have not yet been approved by for sale in Canada. The drugs in question looked similar to other drugs that have been approved for sale in Canada and therefore, Health Canada is assuming the products may be counterfeit products.

Consumer may be led to believe that these products are safe since they are being sold to Canadians.
